Happy 18th (& 17th) Birthday and Welcome to Adulthood In this one-hour class we will discuss the changes that may seem alarming to a young person on their 18th birthday, let alone his or her parent. This program attempts to alleviate some of the concerns of both children and parents by giving direction and a place to start in understanding the law as it applies to adults. The booklet Stepping Out, is given to attendees, which is prepared by the Young Lawyers Section of the Missouri Bar. This class covers such topics as voting, jury duty, driving, drinking and drug laws, criminal charges, employments, apartment leases, marriage, parental rights, child support, contracts, credit, consumer protection, and military service. Questions are encouraged as we take a first time look for many at the legal ins and outs of being an adult.
The Laws Related to Carrying a Concealed Firearm In this two-hour class we will discuss the Missouri laws relating to firearms, the Missouri laws relating to the justifiable use of force, and the requirements of the State of Missouri for obtaining a certificate of qualification for a concealed carry endorsement from the sheriff of the individual's county of residence and a concealed carry endorsement issued by the department of revenue.
All courses are available to be scheduled days or evenings at your convenience and in your specified location.
